Help articles are easier to follow when readers can see the screen you are describing. You can paste or upload images in the editor, or let Buuk capture pages from your product when it drafts an article. Captures always land in a draft — they never publish on their own.
Add an image yourself
- Open the article editor. Press
/and choose Image, or drag a PNG, JPG, or WebP onto the page. - Write alt text that describes the screen, not “screenshot”.
- Publish when the article is ready. Unpublished images stay out of the help center and the widget.
Automated screenshots
When Ask Buuk drafts an article, or you accept a suggested update, Buuk can open a web URL from your product and insert up to three screenshots under matching headings. This is best-effort: a missed capture still leaves you with the draft to edit.
If your product is a mobile app
Capture runs in a browser. It cannot open iOS or Android. Point the product website (and optional App URL) at a page Buuk can load — your marketing site, App Store or Play listing, or a web admin — if you want those captured automatically.
For screens inside the native app, screenshot a simulator or device, or export from App Store Connect or Play Console. Then press / in the editor and choose Image, or drag the file onto the page.
Set the product website
During onboarding, or later in Customise, set your product website. Buuk uses that domain for research, and as the fallback URL for public-page captures.
Set the app URL and optional login
Open Settings → General. Under Product screenshots, set App URL to the logged-in app if it differs from the marketing site — for example
https://app.yourproduct.com.If the screens you need sit behind a login, add a dedicated viewer account (email and password). The password is stored encrypted and is never shown again. Skip login for pages that are already public.
